The Performance Covenant

A major responsibility of an organizational leader is to establish goals and expectations not only for the organization but for each member of the organization's management team.

Studies show that many organizational leaders do not effectively fulfill this basic responsibility. Although many chief executive officers know within themselves their expectations of others, they are unable to communicate these expectations in a manner that is motivating and focusing for their subordinates. Many other organizational leaders simply do not take the time to establish specific definitions of success for their subordinates.

The Performance Covenant was developed by Focused Strategies as a solution to the problem of establishing performance expectations. The Performance Covenant allows organizational leaders to identify and communicate specific expectations in twenty critical factors of performance.

Executive Coaching

Finding, keeping and motivating executives is often a challenging task for many CEOs, particularly when the executive talent pool is limited. Often, an organization's leadership needs can be met by looking within the organization and promoting a junior or middle level executive. Unfortunately, many newly promoted executives are ill equipped and inadequately trained to provide the leadership and personnel management required of a senior level executive.

Focused Strategies helps organizations develop their future leaders by a process of one to one, face to face executive coaching. In this process, an executive meets regularly with a trained executive coach who provides knowledge, insight and coaching with respect to highly effective leadership and managerial practices. Working together the executive and the coach identify weaknesses and develop a leadership development plan of action.
